Tez Johnson Weighs in at 154 Pounds; Oregon WR Lightest Player at 2025 NFL Combine
Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson earned a special designation at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.
ESPN's Matt Miller noted Johnson tipped the scales at 154 pounds in Indianapolis, which is the lightest weight of any combine participant this year.
Oregon listed Johnson at 165 pounds, though he was 156 at the Senior Bowl in January. It appears the senior pass-catcher focused on getting leaner as he prepares to suit up at the next level.

Still, being under 160 sets him apart at the position.
Johnson split his five seasons in college across spells at Troy and Oregon. He caught 310 passes for 3,889 yards and 28 touchdowns in 62 appearances. While a member of the Ducks, he was utilized as a return man and took one punt for a touchdown this past year.
The second-team All-Big Ten honoree is the No. 70 overall player and 11th-best receiver on Bleacher Report's 2025 big board.
B/R NFL scout Dame Parson praised Johnson's athleticism and playmaking ability but said he's likely going to be limited to a slot role thanks to his frame. Parson drew a comparison to the Los Angeles Rams' Tutu Atwell.
"In all, Tez Johnson projects as a potential chain-moving slot receiver," the scouting report read. "He is an ideal candidate for the influx of quick passes due to West Coast offensive systems. From slants, rub routes, shallow crossers, and over routes, Johnson is better at attacking horizontally against zone defenses. Cleaning up his drops will only help him see playing time in the NFL. At worst, he will bring positive special teams value as a punt and kick returner."
The combine reinforced where Johnson's positional future is likely to be.
