Deion Sanders Reacts to Shedeur's NFL Combine Comments: 'He Said What He Said'
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders' confidence shined through during his Friday morning chat with reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
In response to that, Sanders' father, Colorado head coach and Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, had this to say on his Instagram story.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Sanders spoke about how he was part of rebuilding both the Jackson State and Colorado programs during his collegiate careers and said he believes his leadership can translate at the next level.
"We went from Jackson State to Colorado and changed two programs back to back," Sanders said. "So you don't think I could come to an NFL franchise and change the program again? It's history. We've done it again. It's always going to repeat itself."
Jackson State had six straight losing seasons (2014-2019) before Deion Sanders arrived on campus in 2020. One year later, Shedeur Sanders starred at quarterback en route to leading the team to a 23-3 record over the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
Then Sanders left to coach Colorado, and Shedeur followed him. The Buffaloes went 1-11 in 2022 before their arrival but improved to 4-8 in 2023 and then 9-4 in 2024, featuring a No. 25 spot in the final Associated Press poll.
Sanders is looking to replicate that success in the NFL and made it known Friday.
"That's the plan," Sanders said. "If that's not what you're trying to do, don't [pick] me. If you ain't trying to change the franchise or the culture, don't [pick] me. You should know history repeats itself over and over and over, and I've done it over and over and over So, it should be no question."
Ultimately, Sanders looks like a top-10 draft pick at worst when the draft goes down in April. Numerous teams picking then need a signal-caller to help turn around their moribund franchises. Sanders certainly has the belief he can do in the pros what he did in college, and he'll get that chance soon enough.
