Video: Cam Ward Ranks Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson Among His Top-5 NFL QBs
Cam Ward shared his opinion on the NFL's best quarterbacks during his media availability at the 2025 combine on Friday.
Speaking to reporters, the 22-year-old listed, in no order, the Washington Commanders' Jayden Daniels, Kansas City Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes, Baltimore Ravens' Lamar Jackson, Buffalo Bills' Josh Allen and Philadelphia Eagles' Jalen Hurts as the top five signal-callers in the NFL.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Ward refrained from mentioning himself in that list due to "not being in the league yet." Three of the players he mentioned, Jackson, Mahomes and Allen, have taken home an MVP Trophy.
Hurts notably just led his Eagles to a Super Bowl victory over Mahomes' Chiefs, with Hurts being named the MVP of the game. Daniels is the least experienced among the group, but he is the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year winner.
Ward is ranked as the No. 6 prospect and No. 1 quarterback in the 2025 class by Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department. He threw for 4,313 yards with 39 touchdowns and seven interceptions for the Miami Hurricanes in 2024 and was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Year. He also finished fourth in voting for the Heisman Trophy.
Ward has a legitimate chance to be the No. 1 pick in the draft, something none of the quarterbacks he mentioned can claim. He should hear his name called early on draft night regardless and will hope to follow a path similar to those five players.
