Fans took to social media to celebrate the signing and praise the Rams on getting the deal done.
This development squashes any chances of Stafford heading elsewhere. This includes the New York Giants, who have shifted their attention towards Aaron Rodgers, per Dianna Russini of The Athletic.
Rodgers spent 2023 and 2024 with the New York Jets and the team announced that he will not return in 2025. Fans took to social media to express shock at the quick pivot and wondered who will be under center for the Giants in 2025.
Rodgers threw for 3,897 yards with 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 2024 as the Jets went 5-12 and extended their postseason drought to 14 seasons.
While the 41-year-old isn't his former MVP self, he still would be an upgrade from the production New York got from the quarterback position in 2024 from Daniel Jones, Drew Lock and Tommy DeVito.
Whether it's Rodgers, a rookie or a different veteran signal-caller, Stafford won't be under center for the Giants and will instead hope to lead the Los Angeles Rams to another Super Bowl.
