
NFL News: Ravens' Marcus Williams Reportedly Expects to Be Released Before Free Agency
Baltimore Ravens safety Marcus Williams reportedly believes his time with the franchise has come to a close.
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported that Williams "is preparing for free agency" this offseason as he expects the Ravens to release him. Fowler reported that a recent contract restructure for Williams includes a "significant trigger" on March 13.

Williams spent the last three seasons with Baltimore, appearing in 32 games. He was benched during the 2024 season.
Williams is entering his ninth NFL season and has 469 total tackles and 20 interceptions in his career.
With Williams out of the fold, the Ravens will look to replace him on the roster. Baltimore currently has Kyle Hamilton, Ar'Darius Washington, Beau Brade and Sanoussi Kane at the safety positions.
NFL free agency is set to begin on March 12 and teams will be able to reach out to players on March 10.
