Quinn Ewers Met with Jets, Raiders, Steelers, Titans More at 2025 NFL Combine

Texas star quarterback Quinn Ewers reportedly met with a handful of quarterback-needy teams at this week's NFL combine.

Per CBS' Aditi Kinkhabwala, Ewers had formal meetings with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Las Vegas Raiders, Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers. Kinkhabwala noted that the Steelers and Raiders were the only two teams not to put him on their whiteboard.

After the meetings, Ewers will now look to impress teams on the field. The former Longhorn dealt with some injuries but said he's healthy now and plans to throw at the combine.

"The oblique started pumping up on me the Monday after we played Michigan. Just kind of thought it was a little tweak, and then throughout practice, it kind of got worse and worse and worse," Ewers said. "And then obviously, it just kind of popped against UTSA. I'll probably say I played two games, maybe three games healthy, counting the first two, and then maybe one in between the ankle and the oblique."

In his final season at Texas, Ewers had 3,472 passing yards, 31 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He led the Longhorns to a 13-3 season, with their only losses coming to Georgia in the regular season and the SEC Championship Game and Ohio State in the College Football Playoff semifinal.

While Ewers isn't a top quarterback prospect in this year's draft like Miami's Cam Ward or Colorado's Shedeur Sanders, he should find his place on an NFL roster.

He'll likely start his career as a backup, but he could eventually emerge as a starter if he continues to develop well.
