Travis Hunter Wants to Play 100% Of Snaps on Both Sides in NFL: 'I'm Just Different'
Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter has the potential to excel as a cornerback or wide receiver in the NFL, but if he had it his way, he would play both positions full-time.
While speaking to reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Thursday, Hunter was asked if he preferred to play the majority of his snaps on offense or defense and he told reporters, "I want to play 100 percent [on both sides of the ball], but it’s up to the organization."
Of course, no player in NFL history has ever played full-time on both sides of the ball. When asked about those who question his ability to achieve his goal, Hunter boldly declared, "I'm just different."

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
The 2024 Heisman Trophy winner, Hunter produced 92 catches for 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns with a rushing touchdown on offense while adding 32 tackles, 11 passes defended, four interceptions and a forced fumble on defense in his final year with the Buffaloes. He also became the first player in college football history to win both the Chuck Bednarik Award, which is given to the nation's top defensive player, and the Fred Biletnikoff Award, which is awarded to the nation's best wide receiver.
Hunter didn't face the level of competition in college that he will in the NFL, so he could face some challenges as he transitions to the professional level. However, the 21-year-old is confident in his ability to prove that he can play both sides of the ball effectively, so the team that drafts him will have to make full use of his skills to bring out the best in him.
