
Raiders Players Gave Antonio Pierce 'A-' Grade Before HC Was Fired for Pete Carroll
Former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce was fired after just 1.5 seasons this offseason in favor of Pete Caroll, but his players didn't think poorly of him.
According to the NFLPA's 2025 report card, players gave him an A- grade in the, which ranked 16th in the NFL.
Per the report card, "The players felt that Pierce was highly receptive to locker room feedback on the team's needs, ranking him 8 of 32 head coaches in the league."

He graded poorly in efficiency, however, with 87 percent of the team's players saying he was "efficient with their time, a rank of 25 out of 32."
Overall, the Raiders ranked fourth out of 32 teams in the report card, with the NFLPA noting that "players are very complimentary of owner Mark Davis and believe the best thing the organization does is making them feel like they are a part of the Raider 'family.' Players have identified scheduling and time management as key areas for improvement, presenting an opportunity for Carroll to address next season."
