Aaron Rodgers Rumors: Jets QB 'Big Fan' of Rams' Sean McVay; 'Open to Everything'
Whenever Aaron Rodgers becomes a free agent, he plans to explore all of his options, although he does seem to have a preferred destination if it becomes available.
On Wednesday's episode of The Pat McAfee Show, without directly saying Rodgers is his source, Pat McAfee said the four-time NFL MVP is a "big fan" of Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay (starts at 1:15 mark).

McAfee also noted Rodgers has indicated he's "open to everything," including potentially retiring.
The Rams' situation is one of the key storylines to follow with the new league year set to begin on March 12.
Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Rams have given Matthew Stafford's agent permission to speak with other teams as the two sides try to figure out a new contract for the 37-year-old.
Pelissero did note the Rams' "priority" is to keep Stafford, and they may be letting him talk to other teams as a way to gauge his value. They could then pay him based on what opposing clubs would offer.
If Stafford remains with the Rams, there's almost no point in talking about Rodgers going to Los Angeles unless he would consider a backup job.
If the Rams decide to go in a different direction at quarterback, they could possibly get a package deal with Rodgers and Davante Adams.
Per Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News, Rodgers "would bring" Adams with him to L.A. whenever Adams' expected release from the New York Jets becomes official.
That plan didn't exactly work out for the Jets last season, but the Rams do have a better foundation in place because of the success McVay and general manager Les Snead have had in building multiple successful versions of this team during their eight seasons together.
Given the success McVay has had elevating quarterbacks, particularly Stafford and Jared Goff, it's not a surprise that Rodgers would want to attach himself to the Rams if they end up having an opening at the position.
Rodgers is coming off arguably the worst season of his career in 2024. He threw for 3,897 yards with 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 17 games with the Jets.
