NFL Rumors: Titans' Harold Landry III Given Permission to Seek Trade Ahead of 2025 FA
The trade market for pass-rushers this offseason has added another name to the list, with Harold Landry III allowed to pursue a deal.
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Tennessee Titans have given Landry's camp permission to seek a trade prior to the start of free agency on March 10.
The offseason trade market for pass-rushers is getting fairly deep. Myles Garrett has already requested a trade, though the Cleveland Browns insist they have no interest in moving the six-time Pro Bowler.

There have also been rumblings about Maxx Crosby potentially being available, but he's made it clear he hopes to remain with the Las Vegas Raiders.
While Landry isn't at the level of Garrett or Crosby, he's been a very productive player throughout his career. The 28-year-old led the Titans with nine sacks last season. His 19.5 sacks since the start of 2023 is tied for 14th in the NFL.
Landry's contract still has two years and $35 million remaining, though his salary in each of the next two seasons isn't guaranteed. The Titans would save $10.6 million against the cap in 2025 by moving him.
It's perhaps not a coincidence the Titans have given Landry permission to seek a trade at a time when they have been connected to Penn State star Abdul Carter with the top pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
Even though quarterback is the most obvious position of need in Tennessee, president of football operations Chad Brinker has said the team "won't pass on a generational talent" at the top of the draft.
It's unclear if the Titans regard anyone as a potential generational talent in this class.
Regardless of what their plan ends up being with the No. 1 overall pick, the Titans have so many roster needs right now that potentially recouping additional draft assets if they're able to trade Landry would be a smart move for the organization.
Landry, a second-round pick in 2018, has recorded 50.5 sacks in 98 career games. He missed the entire 2022 season due to a torn ACL, but has played all 34 games since returning in 2023.
