2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
The Rams are reportedly planning to rework Stafford's contract after a 2024 renegotiation left the quarterback without significant guaranteed money for 2025. Any potential interest in Rodgers would hinge on the Rams deciding to scrap negotiations and move on from Stafford before next season.
The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue recently reported that Rams representatives are expected to meet with Stafford's agent at the NFL Scouting Combine, which begins on Thursday in Indianapolis.
According to Rodrigue, the Rams have agreed to let agent Jimmy Sexton "talk with other teams about Stafford's contract terms" during negotiations.
NFL Network's Peter Schrager recently said on Good Morning Football that Stafford is seeking an AAV of more than $50 million on his next contract.
Rodrigue previously reported the Rams "don’t want to make a significant financial commitment to a veteran quarterback" in part because "a youthful roster built through the draft is now their core identity."
Even if Stafford leaves for another team, and even if Rodgers is willing to sign at a lower cost than Stafford next season, the former Jets quarterback wouldn't fit the second part of the Rams' identity as described by Rodrigue.
If the Rams do decide to move on from Stafford, however, they could theoretically consider Rodgers as a bridge quarterback before targeting a future QB1 in the 2026 draft.
Adams, a former Green Bay Packers' teammate of Rodgers who forced a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders in order to follow the quarterback to the Jets, is signed for two more seasons on his current contract. Given his lack of guaranteed money and significant cap hits over those next two years, however, he is in line for either a contract restructuring or released ahead of the 2025 season.
If Adams is cut, he could theoretically pair up with Rodgers again at the veteran quarterback's next stop. With the Stafford decision likely on the horizon thanks to the $4 million roster bonus he is owed on March 19, the Rams could soon take themselves out of the running to host that potential reunion.
