
Bo Nix Played Through Turf Toe Injury in Rookie NFL Season, Broncos' Sean Payton Says
Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix managed to put together a tremendous rookie season that put him in the running for the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2024.
During the outstanding year, Nix played through an injury. Per Around the NFL, Broncos head coach Sean Payton said Tuesday at the NFL Scouting Combine that Nix dealt with turf toe at one point during the season.
It's unclear when Nix suffered the injury or how long he dealt with it, but it didn't stop him from putting up veteran numbers in his first season.

Had it not been for Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels' historically good season, Nix very well could have won Offensive Rookie of the Year.
While the Broncos would have preferred for Nix to stay injury-free in 2024, battling through the turf toe ailment speaks highly to his perseverance, a quality trait for a quarterback to have.
