Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
It seems likely that his pay cut is a prelude to retirement, though that decision has not been made at this time.
The Dolphins are still only projected to have $5.2 million in cap space, though other contract restructuring could grant them more financial freedom. Both general manager Chris Grier and head coach Mike McDaniel have indicated the team wants to invest heavily in the offensive line this offseason.
"It's time," McDaniel told reporters.
The Dolphins could see a lot of roster turnover in the process, with 25 players set to hit free agency, including safeties Jevon Holland and Jordan Poyer; guards Liam Eichenberg, Robert Jones and Isaiah Wynn; wideout Braxton Berrios; defensive tackles Calais Campbell and Da'Shawn Hand; linebackers Anthony Walker and Tyrel Dodson; and edge-rusher Emmanuel Ogbah, among others.
Expect Miami to have a much different look at the start of the 2025 season around organizational fixtures like Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, De'Von Achane, Jalen Ramsey and Bradley Chubb.
