Report: NFL to Invite Only 8-10 Players to 2025 Draft; LSU's Will Campbell On List

The NFL will reportedly cut down the number of prospects it invites to the draft this year.

Per Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz, the league plans to invite just eight to 10 players to this year's draft, all of whom it believes will be top picks. Last year, the NFL invited 13 players to the draft with quarterbacks Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye highlighting the group.

While the full list of players the NFL plans to invite is still unknown, Schultz noted that LSU standout offensive tackle Will Campbell will receive an invite.

Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department projects Campbell to be the fourth player off the board, going to the New England Patriots. Campbell, who spent virtually all of his time at left tackle in his three years at LSU, had a PFF grade of 72.2 in 2024. He earned All-SEC first-team honors in 2023 and 2024 and was an All-American last season as well.

The full list of prospects invited to the draft will likely be revealed in the coming weeks, but a few names will presumably receive an invite.

Star quarterbacks Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders are widely projected to be top-three picks, including by B/R's Scouting Department, which has Ward going No. 1 and Sanders at No. 3.

Other notable players like Penn State edge Abdul Carter and Colorado's Travis Hunter would surely be on the list as well.
