
Lynn Biyendolo, USWNT Applauded by Fans After Win vs. Australia in SheBelieves Cup
The United States Women's National Team continued its impressive run at the 2025 SheBelieves Cup, defeating Australia by the final score of 2-1 at State Farm Stadium in Arizona.
The USWNT took a 2-0 lead before Australia got on the board, but the U.S. squad prevented another game-tying goal from occurring before the end of the match.

Lynn Biyendolo started the scoring before a full minute of play elapsed, tapping the ball into the net off a slick feed from Emma Sears just 42 seconds into the contest.
Michelle Cooper helped extend the United States' lead in the second half, coming off the bench to record the first international goal of her career in the 68th minute.
Australia stayed within striking distance with a goal from Michelle Heyman 12 minutes later, scoring off an impressive cross by Hayley Raso.
The USWNT was able to hang on and clinch the win, though.
Fans were impressed with the Biyendolo as well as the rest of coach Emma Hayes' team.
Following a win over Colombia on Thursday, the USWNT improved to 2-0 in the tournament on Sunday. The Americans also have six points due to their pair of victories, the most among the four countries competing in the event.
The U.S. Women's National Team will now attempt to win its sixth consecutive SheBelieves Cup during its final matchup of the tournament, a clash with Japan on Wednesday.
