One lucky Bucknell student probably has a new favorite baseball player.
Alex Rodriguez was at Bucknell on Sunday and drilled a halfcourt shot to win $10,000 for a student.

For those wondering why the three-time MVP, 10-time Silver Slugger and 14-time All-Star was at Bucknell's basketball game, the school's director of media relations, Mike Ferlazzo, noted he was one of three guest speakers who spoke as part of a special event at the university.
Sunday was also a good day for the Bison on the basketball court.
They steamrolled their way to an 84-53 victory over Army to extend their winning streak to four. They have also won seven of eight to improve to 15-14 overall after a disappointing 8-13 start to the campaign.
Bucknell is now 11-5 in the Patriot League and just one game behind 12-4 American University. It still has two more games remaining in the regular season to make a late charge and is playing its best basketball of the season to this point.
And if it needs a long-range shooter, perhaps it can convince Rodriguez to come off the bench.
