Shedeur Sanders: NFL GMs 'Don't Care' About Music Career After 'Life' Video Release
There was a time when NFL front offices might be concerned with a draft prospect dabbling in a music career all while he prepares for his jump to professional football, but that is no longer the case.
At least if former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is to be believed.
Sanders released a music video for his song "Life" on Wednesday and addressed the situation on his podcast Tuesday (3:49 mark).ย

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
"I talked to a couple GMs," he said. "They don't care."
He explained he knows how important it is to "keep the main thing the main thing" and added that the general managers also told him, "it was good you found an activity you like doing."
Sanders also released the song "Perfect Timing" in May, but it's not as if he is dropping multiple albums and taking time away from preparing for the NFL draft. And the 2024 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year figures to be one of the first players selected after completing 74 percent of his passes for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 2024.
The biggest question surrounding Sanders isn't what his next music video will be. Rather, it is whether he will be the first quarterback taken in the 2025 draft.
B/R's NFL Scouting Department did not believe so when it released its latest mock draft earlier this month.
It projected Miami's Cam Ward to go No. 1 overall to the Tennessee Titans and Sanders to go No. 3 overall to the New York Giants. With the Titans, Cleveland Browns (No. 2), Giants, Las Vegas Raiders (No. 6) and New York Jets (No. 7) all in need of answers at quarterback, both Ward and Sanders figure to go early.
That need for quarterbacks and the overall talent for both prospects also figures to be far more important to the various front offices than any potential music careers.
