Video: Peyton Manning Makes Surprise Appearance on SNL 50th Anniversary Special
Legendary quarterback Peyton Manning has been known for his comedic timing, so it's fitting that he was tabbed for a surprise appearance on the 50th Anniversary Special of Saturday Night Live.
Manning appeared during the Q&A hosted by SNL legends Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and asked whether creator Lorne Michaels will ever retire. When told that Michaels wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon, Manning offered some advice.
"Never retire. It's brutal out here," he said near the 8:15 mark. "They have me doing all these commercials, insurance, beer... I hate being retired."

Manning has made multiple appearances on SNL throughout the years, and he also appeared on the 40th Anniversary Special in 2015. He closed his bit with a parting shot for actor and comedian Zach Galifianakis, who was also in attendance.
"Seriously, Lorne, getting old sucks, you feel like such a loser," he said. "Galifianakis knows what I'm talking about."
