Video: Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce's Conversation During Super Bowl Loss Revealed
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce embraced on the sideline during the waning moments of their Super Bowl LIX defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The NFL released a clip of an exchange between the two. They briefly hug and Kelce tells Mahomes at one point, "I owe you a lot for what you've done."

The conversation is particularly notable because it might've been Kelce's last NFL game.
The 10-time Pro Bowler is under contact through the 2025 season, but his age (35) and performance this year raise questions about his future. His 823 receiving yards and three touchdowns were his lowest ever in a full season, and he was a non-factor for the most part in Kansas City's two biggest games. He caught six passes for 58 yards between the AFC championship and Super Bowl.
The Athletic's Nate Taylor and Cale Clinton reported Thursday the Chiefs are hopeful that Kelce will make a decision about his playing status by around March 14. That's two days after free agency officially opens.
It sounds like the three-time reigning AFC champions are at least planning for the possibility they'll need a new starting tight end.
