Report: Jevon Holland, Giants Agree to $45M Contract After 4 Seasons with Dolphins
After spending the first four seasons of his career with the Miami Dolphins, Jevon Holland is joining a new team.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport the safety agreed to a three-year, $45 million free-agent contract with the New York Giants on Tuesday.
Holland, a second-round draft pick out of Oregon in 2021, showed plenty of promise his rookie year when he recorded 69 tackles, 2.5 sacks, two interceptions and 10 passes defended, which remains his career high.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He followed that up with a strong sophomore campaign, picking up a career-high 96 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two interceptions and seven passes defended in 2022.
In 2023, Holland played 12 games before suffering MCL sprains in both of his knees, ending his season prematurely. He finished the year with 74 tackles, three forced fumbles, an interception, a touchdown and four passes defended.
Last year, Holland had 62 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and four passes defended in 15 games.
Holland has played well in his first four years, though he's still looking for a breakout year. He'll now get a fresh start with the Giants, which could be exactly what he needs to take a leap in 2025.
The 2024 season was another year of struggle for the Giants. They finished 3-14 behind a stagnant offense and a subpar defense. New York allowed the ninth-most yards per game and the 12th-most points per game last season, all while getting little production from its offense.
Some of their defensive struggles could perhaps be attributed to losing star safety Xavier McKinney to the Green Bay Packers in free agency last offseason, so the Giants are undoubtedly hopeful that Holland can fill that avoid to some degree.
Adding Holland to the mix won't solve all of the Giants' problems, but he will at least give their secondary some help as New York tries to turn things around.
