Pokémon GO and MLB are teaming up to bring a fun twist to baseball games this year.

According to a release from Pokémon, fans can expect "Pokémon GO and club-branded merchandise, exclusive in-game avatar items, Timed Research awarding exciting Pokémon encounters and Raid Battles where Trainers have a chance to catch Pokémon with a Location Background."

As fans root for their favorite teams at select Pokémon GO-themed games, they'll have plenty of entertainment in between innings as they look to catch rare Pokémon and battle other trainers.

Several MLB teams, including the New York Mets, Boston Red Sox and San Francisco Giants, are set to participate in the Pokémon GO-themed home games. The Mets will have their Pokémon GO game on Aug. 25 and the Red Sox and Giants will both host theirs on Aug. 29. Pokémon noted in its release that additional dates for Pokémon GO-themed games could be added.
