Jake Paul Says He Bought Private Jet, Provides Glimpse in Instagram Video

Whenever he does fight again, Jake Paul will be traveling in style.

Paul revealed Wednesday on Instagram he has purchased a private jet and shared a quick video to show off the plane's interior.

"Bought my first jet," he said in the caption. "Went global cause I’m global silly me."

Becoming a boxer has been a lucrative pursuit for the famous YouTuber. He reportedly got around $40 million, and perhaps more, from victory over Mike Tyson in November. His fights before that regularly netted seven-figure paydays.

The 28-year-old was left to stew, however, when potentially the biggest moneymaker of his young career fell apart.

ESPN's Mike Coppinger reported on Feb. 6 that Paul and Canelo Álvarez were working toward an agreement for a May 3 fight in Las Vegas. If Paul could make $40 million when opposing a past-his-prime Tyson, imagine what he’d stand to earn against one of the world’s best pound-for-pound fighters.

But things Paul and Canelo unraveled in short order, with Coppinger reporting Álvarez struck a four-fight deal with Turki Alalshikh and Riyadh Season. Among the conditions of that accord was that Canelo would have to abandon any plans made with Paul, putting the latter back to square one.

Maybe buying a jet helped to raise the spirits of “The Problem Child.”
