Report: DeAndre Hopkins, Ravens Agree to $6M Contract in NFL FA after Chiefs Stint

Doric SamMar 11, 2025

After falling short of his first career Super Bowl title with the Kansas City Chiefs, veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins will continue his chase for a championship ring in a new uniform.

According to Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz, Hopkins reached an agreement with the Baltimore Ravens on a one-year contract on Tuesday. The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec reported that it's a $5 million deal with the opportunity to grow to $6 million. The 2025 season will be his 13th year in the NFL.

Hopkins opened the 2024 campaign with the Tennessee Titans and produced 15 catches for 173 yards and a touchdown in six games before being traded to the Chiefs. In 10 games in Kansas City, he recorded 41 receptions for 437 yards and four touchdowns. He had three catches for 29 yards and a touchdown in the playoffs as the Chiefs went on to lose to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

The 32-year-old began his career with the Houston Texans as the 27th pick in the 2013 NFL draft and quickly established himself as one of the top receivers in the league. He recorded the first of his seven career 1,000-yard seasons in his sophomore campaign and earned the first of his five Pro Bowl selections in his third year. He earned first-team All-Pro honors in three straight years from 2017 to 2019 and also earned second-team honors in 2015 and 2020.

The Ravens will be Hopkins' fifth team in his 13-year career. He also suited up for the Arizona Cardinals for three years before signing with the Titans prior to the 2023 season.

Hopkins admitted before the playoffs that he is nearing the end of his illustrious career, so he will surely be motivated to make an impact with Baltimore. He should be a solid No. 2 behind Zay Flowers as the Ravens try to contend for a Super Bowl title next season.
