Video: Red Sox's 'The Clubhouse' Netflix Doc Teased With Triston Casas Clip

Major League Baseball posted a teaser video Wednesday for an upcoming Netflix docuseries focused on the Boston Red Sox.

The video posted on X, which hyped up The Clubhouse: A Year with the Red Sox, featured Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas:

In the clip, Casas was frustrated with himself after failing to get on base, and he remained hyper-critical of himself even after taking the field for the next half inning.

Per Variety's Angelique Jackson, the docuseries is a first-of-its-kind look into a Major League Baseball team, as Netflix has never before followed a team over the course of an entire season.

The eight-part series, which debuts on April 8, will provide fans with an inside view of the trials and tribulations the Red Sox experienced during the 2024 campaign.

Directed by Greg Whiteley, who directed and produced the previous Netflix docuseries hit Last Chance U, The Clubhouse: A Year with the Red Sox figures to feature plenty of ups and downs.

Last season, Boston went 81-81 and missed the playoffs for a third consecutive campaign, which represents a major fall from grace for a franchise that won four World Series from 2004 to 2018.

While the Red Sox experienced their fair share of struggles last season, there were also some bright spots. Rafael Devers, Jarren Duran and Tanner Houck were all All-Stars, and young players such as Wilyer Abreu and Ceddanne Rafaela established themselves as potential budding stars.

The 25-year-old Casas burst onto the scene in 2023 when he slashed .263/.367/.490 with 24 home runs and 65 RBI, however, injuries limited him to just 63 games last season, and he finished at .241/.337/.462 with 13 homers and 32 RBI.

Casas' roller-coaster season will likely be just one of the many storylines featured in The Clubhouse: A Year with the Red Sox when it officially drops on Netflix in two months.
