Report: Eagles, Saints Eye Kevin Patullo for OC After Kellen Moore HC Contract
Philadelphia Eagles associate head coach and pass-game coordinator Kevin Patullo is expected to receive "strong consideration" from both the Eagles and New Orleans Saints for their offensive coordinator positions, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Per that report: "Nick Sirianni has leaned on Patullo heavily the last four seasons in a variety of areas, and Patullo also developed a strong working relationship with new New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore as they implemented the Eagles offense."
Philadelphia quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier—who also worked with Moore in both Dallas and Los Angeles—is also a potential candidate for New Orleans' offensive coordinator position, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport:

If the Eagles promote from within for their offensive coordinator vacancy, Patullo will be the overwhelming favorite. He's worked with Sirianni on both the Indianapolis Colts (2018-20) and the Eagles (2021-present).
In Indy, he served as a wide receivers coach for the first two seasons before being promoted to pass-game specialist, a role he's held for his entire stay in Philly. He added the title of associate head coach in 2023.
Nussmeier's familiarity with Moore and his system, meanwhile, makes him among the favorites to land the offensive coordinator position in New Orleans. He's served as both the quarterbacks coach (2020-22) and tight ends coach (2018-19) for the Dallas Cowboys with Moore and was also the quarterbacks coach for the Chargers last season.
Don't expect either Nussmeier or Patullo to make a lateral move to join Moore in New Orleans, however. Sirianni doesn't plan on letting his staff depart unless it's for a promotion.
"I don't let that happen, usually. But sometimes you can't help it. Just like [former Colts head coach Frank Reich] said to me [in 2021], 'This is my staff, and you can't have these guys,'" Sirianni told reporters. "It's hard to build the staff and have that continuity in there, but there's sometimes you can't—like the Nick Rallis situation, he had the opportunity to go and be promoted, and that's the way the rules are now. Every situation is a little different. But my general thought on that is, this is my and the Eagles' staff."
Rallis was the Eagles' linebackers coach between the 2021-22 seasons. When the team's former defensive coordinator, Jonathan Gannon, was hired as the Arizona Cardinals head coach ahead of the 2023 season, he hired Rallis as his defensive coordinator.
