Seth Rollins and the Authority Take Down Brock Lesnar

One week after Brock Lesnar returned to WWE programming and was revealed as Seth Rollins' opponent at Battleground, the WWE World Heavyweight champion put together a plan in an attempt to take down the Beast. Early returns were good, as Kane and J&J Security helped Rollins beat down the Conquerer as Raw came to a close.

Question on Everybody's Mind: What Does the Authority's Reunion Mean?

Rollins was able to defeat Dean Ambrose on his own in a ladder match at Money in the Bank, but the savvy Superstar knows he needs help in order to get past Lesnar.

Although Kane, Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble were initially reluctant to rejoin forces with the champ, they ultimately decided to lend him a helping hand after he apologized for mistreating them in recent months. That led to Lesnar taking the brunt of the punishment, although he was able to get some shots in as well.

The Beast Incarnate injured Noble by driving him into the barricade, so the Authority may be down one member entering Battleground. Kane provided the great equalizer, however, by hitting Lesnar in the leg with a chair and perhaps injuring him as well.

Lesnar has been so dominant for more than a year that WWE had to do something to level the playing field to make it look like Rollins has a chance. By strengthening the Authority, that is precisely what happened.

Ring Rust Radio's Take

WWE has laid the groundwork for a highly intriguing match at Battleground. Not only does Rollins have backup once again, but Lesnar has suddenly been compromised. He could potentially be kept off television for a week or two in order to sell the leg injury, and the announcers can play up to the fact that he isn't operating at 100 percent when the match finally does arrive.

Nobody believes that Rollins could beat Lesnar with all things being equal, but the Beast's having a bad wheel could change things in that regard.

At the same time, it is difficult to believe the Authority will remain a cohesive unit, considering how dysfunctional they were during the weeks leading up to their reunion.

The obvious attempt to shift the odds back in Rollins' favor feels like the precursor to a Lesnar win at Battleground. Perhaps it could lead to a disqualification finish that sets up a rematch for SummerSlam, but it is extremely difficult to envision Rollins winning at Battleground in any way, shape or form.

Bray Wyatt's Mind Games Against Roman Reigns Continue

While the bulk of the focus was on the storyline involving Rollins and Lesnar on Monday's edition of Raw, one of the top auxiliary feuds continued to develop between Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt. The Eater of Worlds cost Reigns in the Money in the Bank ladder match, and he has since tormented the former Shield member by mentioning of his daughter.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Is WWE Building This Feud Correctly?

Reigns is featured in a commercial about fatherhood with his daughter in which they sing "I'm a Little Teapot." Wyatt has used that against Reigns by singing the song continuously and making the Powerhouse feel as though his daughter might be in danger. The New Face of Fear took that a step further on Raw by tricking Reigns into thinking that he had abducted his daughter.

It turned out there was nobody in the seat across from Wyatt, but Reigns went looking for him anyway. Once he found the room that Wyatt had been in, a recording of "I'm a Little Teapot" played, and the wall was littered with photos of Reigns. "Anyone but you" was also written on the wall, which suggests Wyatt is doing everything in his power to ensure that Reigns doesn't reach the pinnacle of WWE.

Ring Rust Radio's Take

While the rivalry between Reigns and Wyatt got off to a fairly good start, it seems to be going down a disappointing road already. The initial issue between them, as explained by Wyatt, was the fact Reigns defeated him in a bout that denied him a spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

While that type of straightforward logic hasn't been the norm over the course of Wyatt's career thus far, it was refreshing in comparison to his normally cryptic reasoning for entering feuds.

Adding Reigns' daughter to the mix even seemed like a good touch at first in order to make things more personal between the two Superstars, but it has suddenly become the main component of the feud. The latest segment on Raw seemed like came straight out of a cheesy horror film, and one can only assume there will be many more similar segments to come.

Wyatt's angles have a penchant for getting repetitive in a hurry, and it feels like his clash with Reigns has already jumped the shark.

RRR Interview with TNA's Kenny King

Although TNA has certainly had its ups and downs in recent years, few will argue with the notion that it boasts a deep and talented roster. Two-time X-Division champion Kenny King is one of the top stars the promotion has to offer, and the King of the Night sat down with Ring Rust Radio to discuss what the future holds for both himself and Impact Wrestling.

Question on Everybody's Mind: What's Next for King?

The 33-year-old King is a veteran of business who broke in as a contestant on WWE's Tough Enough in 2002. King fell just short of winning the competition despite arguably being the most impressive wrestler on the show. He has since gone on to enjoy a great deal of success and is a former Ring of Honor Tag Team champion and stalwart of TNA's X-Division.

While the X-Division has been a huge part of TNA since its inception, there has seemingly been less focus on it over the past several years. Even so, King believes the pieces are in place for it to continue being a key part of the company:

"

Well, there are times when the division takes the forefront and then there's times when the guys' stories can go slow. It's kind of one of those things where you look at the original logo for TNA is built on the X-Division. It's one of the reasons TNA's identity is tied with the X-Division.

The fact that any given day you can put X-Division guys, any two of us, and give us 15-to-20 minutes you will get a main event quality match. That's a testament to how strong it is and that it will always be there.

"

King may not be the current X-Division champion, but he is the cream of the crop as far as X-Division wrestlers are concerned, and he will have a huge hand in its success moving forward.

Ring Rust Radio's Take

With TNA trying to establish itself on Destination America and remain relevant in the face of heavy competition from the likes of WWE, ROH and Lucha Underground, the door is undoubtedly open for certain talents to step up and become main eventers. King is near the top of that list, and he feels he is ready to take advantage when the opportunity presents itself.

"

I think it comes down to timing and everything has to be right. I am my No. 1 fan, and I would have told you that I'm ready for a title shot that day, but it might not have been the right timing. Whenever it is my time, I grab it and I run with it.

The thing you can say about TNA is it's not the old guard anymore. The push to the top is there for guys who are ready and able to do it versus just name recognition.

"

There aren't many wrestlers who have the total package of skills needed to be a top-flight star, but King does. He is supremely athletic and talented in the ring, but he is also charismatic and capable of cutting great promos, largely thanks to the schooling of WWE Hall of Famer Nick Bockwinkel.

King continues to put on excellent performances as he bides his time and waits for a shot at the top prize in TNA, and every indication is that he will knock it out of the park when he ultimately gets that chance.
