WWE Battleground 2015: Feuds Most Deserving of Midcard Spot
Although Kevin Owens vs. John Cena and Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar will dominate the headlines moving toward WWE Battleground, there are opportunities for other matches to shine in the middle of the card.
With the rest of the company's major championships set to be defended, there is plenty for fans to keep an eye on in the final pay-per-view before one of the biggest shows of the year, SummerSlam.
And just like every other show, there are some feuds that deserve one of those coveted spots in the middle of the card.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Ryback vs. Big Show vs. The Miz
It may not be the most appealing Intercontinental Championship match of all time, but Ryback does deserve some spotlight as champion, and his feud with Big Show and The Miz is worthy of a spot in the midcard here.
Ryback is showing a more personal side in recent weeks since winning the title, and some of his promo work has been much improved on months before.
He should be given the opportunity to have a strong reign as IC Champ, especially given how it is his first run as a major champion with the company.
Putting The Miz into this feud will also give it a touch of freshness, as Ryback's match with Big Show did feel a bit labored at Money in the Bank, given how it was between two real big men.
But with plenty of time between shows to smarten up the booking, there's every possibility this next installment could be better.
The Prime Time Players vs. The New Day
Given how well The New Day had been performing as a heel stable, it came as somewhat of a surprise when they dropped the WWE Tag Team Championships at Money in the Bank.
With Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods all combining well to make an effective mix of brawn, athleticism and genuine mic skills, it seemed like The New Day were set for a lengthy run with the straps over the summer.
But with The Prime Time Players winning, it meant that The New Day had to regroup and go again. However, they will get their match at Battleground, and much like Ryback's Intercontinental Championship program, this feud should benefit from an extended spell between shows to hype it up.
Titus O'Neil and Darren Young were almost certainly overdue their first reign as tag champs, and they've recovered well from the setback and clear mistake that was splitting them up in the first place.
The chemistry both teams displayed when they were in the ring together was impressive and gave cause for optimism, and with a good few weeks to make things even more exciting, this could turn out to be a great addition to the midcard at Battleground.
The key, though, is for the WWE to give it enough time on screen to make it a worthwhile part of the show.
