Ryback Would Thrive in Triple Threat Match at WWE Battleground 2015
WWE hasn’t announced anything formally yet, but all signs point to Ryback defending his Intercontinental Championship against both The Miz and Big Show at the 2015 edition of WWE Battleground on July 19.
Ryback should be able to thrive in the Triple Threat match.
The WWE Universe isn’t particularly interested in any of the three combatants, but featuring them together could create an interesting secondary storyline. Big Show has the experience to ensure the matches meet expectations, and The Miz and Ryback can carry the feud on the mic.

Surprisingly, The Miz and Ryback have jelled well as opposing forces, and they seem to bring the best out of each other.
With The Miz playing the ideal despicable heel, it’s easy to like Ryback for putting the D-list actor in his place.
Big Show gets plenty of grief for being old, slow and uninteresting for the most part, but he is one of the strongest forces in the company when booked properly. If the storyline is designed to get Ryback over as a dominant champion, taking down Big Show and The Miz at the same time would be a major feather in his cap.
Battleground is stacked with marquee matches featuring Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt, and the addition of a Triple Threat for the IC title would add even more depth.
The Triple Threat match would also give WWE Creative plenty of options heading into the company’s second-largest PPV, SummerSlam. Regardless of whether Ryback will carry the championship throughout the summer, the stage is set for several intriguing matches.
From Big Show fighting Ryback to The Miz taking on Ryback to Miz vs. Big Show, there are several options that would be worthy additions to the SummerSlam card.
No matter how the feud unfolds moving forward, the Triple Threat match and three-way feud are the best possible options for all the combatants. While the WWE Universe doesn’t care about these three as individuals much, joining them together would produce a marquee storyline.
