WWE NXT: Full Preview, Match Card and More for June 10

The Doctor Chris MuellerJun 10, 2015

Welcome to Bleacher Report's preview for this week's episode of WWE NXT, where we take a spoiler-free look at what's in store for the developmental brand's upcoming episode.

There's a lot going on with the main roster right now, so it's going to be nice to put all that aside and enjoy some NXT on its usual night.

The main thing that will have people talking this week will be the in-ring debut of Samoa Joe. He made a big splash when he arrived at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable; now it's time to see if he will sink or swim.

Let's take a look at everything that's in store for Wednesday's show.

The Tag Teams

Mojo Rawley will return after a lengthy absence to team with Zack Ryder to take on the team of Elias Sampson and Mike Wallace.

Rawley and Ryder have somewhat similar personalities, so this matchup could end up helping both men. It's no secret that Ryder is not the hot commodity he once was, so this could be exactly what he needs.

Rawley has a fun side, but he has yet to be pushed as a serious talent. Partnering with Ryder gives him a slightly higher chance at succeeding but only slightly.

It would be shocking if Wallace and Sampson won this bout. They have no push to speak of, and it wouldn't make sense to bring in Ryder to job for a pair of rookies. All we can really hope for is a competitive match.

The Women

The women of NXT will be featured prominently this week in two different matches. The first will feature Emma taking on everyone's favorite unsigned talent, Leva "Blue Pants" Bates.

Emma has adopted a new attitude in recent weeks. She is more devious and less interested in performing a silly dance on the way to the ring.

Bates has been used quite a bit in the developmental system, but it's always in the role of an enhancement talent.

Hopefully the fans' reactions to her will encourage WWE officials to offer her a contract at some point. She clearly connects with the crowd and has a fun gimmick involving the use of costumes and props. This should be a fun match, even if it does end up being one of the shorter contests of the evening.

The second women's match of the night will see Becky Lynch, fresh off her defeat at the hands of Sasha Banks, take on a new talent named Jessie McKay.

Lynch was phenomenal at TakeOver: Unstoppable, stealing the show in the Women's Championship match. And if she continues to perform at that high level, it's just a matter of time before she ends up on the main roster.

This will be one of the first opportunities McKay has to showcase her skills to the NXT audience, which makes this a very important match for her.

Even if she doesn't win, she can still make a good impression. She might be new to WWE, but she is by no means new to wrestling. McKay got her start in 2007 and has worked for such companies as Ring of Honor and Combat Zone Wrestling.

If you want to see why everyone always makes such a big deal over the women in NXT, this might be a good night to check it out since they have two matches on the card.

The Men

Three singles matches will take place this week featuring a variety of talents. The first will see Tyler Breeze go up against Bull Dempsey.

Breeze and Dempsey both need this win after suffering losses recently. Dempsey hasn't been successful in a feud since he took out Rawley several months ago, and Breeze just lost a big match against Finn Balor.

With the way they have been booked, Breeze seems like the most likely winner. He has always been viewed as a top star in NXT, and with the recent string of injuries, the developmental system needs all the star power it can get.

The second singles match of the night will feature Baron Corbin going head-to-head with Angelo Dawkins. This should be the easiest outcome to predict.

Corbin is coming off the biggest win of his career over Rhyno, but now he has to prove he is more than just a powerhouse with tattoos. It's time for him to show he has endurance.

The real question with this one is whether we will see Rhyno. He made it clear he would be looking for a rematch, and interfering in someone else's match is the best way to get someone's attention.

The main event is something a lot of fans have been looking forward to ever since TakeOver: Unstoppable. Samoa Joe will finally compete in an NXT ring.

His opponent will be Scott Dawson, so it should be pretty easy to pick a winner. Dawson has never been a threat to anyone in NXT, and that probably won't change before he faces Joe.

Joe immediately set his sights on Kevin Owens when he arrived on the scene. We all know the NXT champion is not one to just sit back and watch from the sidelines, so he could end up getting involved somehow.

Only a couple of matches have the potential to steal the show, but it still looks like another solid week for the developmental brand. What are you looking forward to seeing on this week's episode?
