WWE Money in the Bank 2015: Superstars Who Will Exceed Expectations

Donald WoodJun 8, 2015

The 2015 edition of WWE's Money in the Bank pay-per-view is shaping up to be an exciting event, and several Superstars booked on the card will exceed expectations.

From John Cena standing toe-to-toe with indy darling Kevin Owens to the high-flying style of Neville being showcased in the seven-person ladder match, there are several top stars ready to show the WWE Universe what they're made of on Sunday.

Here are the wrestlers who will exceed expectations at Money in the Bank 2015.

John Cena

John Cena is already one of the most popular wrestlers in the history of the business, but he has the chance to appease a portion of the audience that has despised him by continuing to put over NXT champion Kevin Owens.

After putting Owens over clean at Elimination Chamber, the expectation is that Cena will even the series and that there will be at least one more match at Battleground. Instead of earning a clean win and stopping Owens' momentum, this is where Owens should get disqualified.

Owens can get frustrated after Super Cena kicks out of all of his finishers and can lose his cool by attacking Cena until the referee is forced to throw the match out. If Cena is looking to help build a star of the future, suffering a beatdown at Money in the Bank is an acceptable storyline.

Neville

For many casual WWE Fans, former NXT champion and indy sensation Neville will reveal exactly what makes him a sensation when he steals the show in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

There are few men on Earth with as much skill and raw talent as Neville, and with six other competitors trying to climb the ladder to retrieve the briefcase, this will be Neville’s chance to show his ability to perform insane high-flying moves.

While there are few members of the WWE Universe who believe the recent addition to the main roster will win the briefcase, Neville, more so than anyone else in the match, has the most to prove and could establish himself as a rising star with an elite performance at the PPV.

Prime Time Players

There are a handful of wrestlers earning respect heading into Money in the Bank, but the Prime Time Players—Titus O'Neil and Darren Young—deserve far more respect from the WWE Universe than they receive.

O'Neil and Young have worked for years to get better on the mic and in the ring, and now is their chance to shine in a Tag Team Championship match against The New Day. While the Prime Time Players may not win the belts, they could cement themselves as stars with a solid showing.

The hope from fans and WWE officials alike is that both of these teams view this as a chance to showcase what makes them so interesting. For O'Neil and Young, a stellar performance could help them become one of the top teams in the division moving forward.
