WWE NXT Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from June 3
Finn Balor may have earned himself a shot at the NXT Championship by way of his victory over Tyler Breeze at Unstoppable, but Wednesday night on the WWE Network, he found out that not every NXT Superstar is going to lie down for him on his path to the gold.
Rhyno unleashed his fury on the Irish-born competitor, delivering a Gore that should ignite a rivalry between the two that will tide the No. 1 contender over until his next championship clash with Kevin Owens.
Elsewhere on the show, Carmella attempted to gain a measure of revenge for Enzo Amore and Big Cass as she squared off against Alexa Bliss, Jason Jordan tested out Marcus Louis as his latest tag team partner, and Adam Rose looked to avenge his attack at the hands of Tyler Breeze prior to Unstoppable. What went down as WWE presented the latest episode of NXT on its revolutionary network?
Find out now with a look at this week's results, highlights and grades.
Adam Rose vs. Tyler Breeze
1 of 5A few weeks back, Tyler Breeze celebrated a big tag team win over Finn Balor and Hideo Itami by delivering a Beauty Shot to Rose, leaving his partner lying unconscious in the center of the ring.
This week, he had his chance to pay Breeze back for the assault.
Rose controlled the middle portion of the bout, forcing Breeze to fight from underneath. Every time he began mounting a comeback, the party-loving Superstar cut him off. He even delivered a huge elbow drop off the apron, a la Mick Foley, and had Breeze on the ropes late.
A Beauty Shot from out of nowhere scored the win for Breeze, who was lucky to emerge victorious.

Analysis
This was as good as Adam Rose as looked since he was a regular on the NXT roster. It was as if management booked him as strongly as possible to remind the fans of what he is capable of when presented with the opportunity.
He looked strong here, hanging with one of the premier talents on the developmental roster, and only lost after a fluke Beauty Shot.
It should be interesting to see if this was a once-and-done deal or if fans should expect to see more of Rose in the near future.
Eva Marie Interview
2 of 5
Greg Hamilton interviewed Eva Marie, who was returning to WWE programming Wednesday night.
The NXT crowd was relentless in its jeering of the redheaded bombshell, taking a break only to shower her with chants of "you can't wrestle."
Eva Marie put over the women of NXT and how she hopes to prove herself against them, but her message hardly registered with an audience who did not want to hear what she had to say.

Analysis
This was ugly.
Sure, Eva Marie was a product of Total Divas and hardly restored faith in the roster with her in-ring work during her first year with the company, but it is public knowledge that she has been training with Brian Kendrick for months now.
That she took the time to seek out someone as talented as the former WWE Tag Team champion suggests she is serious about improving between the ropes. Why unleash so negatively on her without actually seeing what she is capable of?
If she returns as bad as she was before, then the negativity may be warranted. Until then, at least allow her the opportunity to speak.
Carmella vs. Alexa Bliss
3 of 5At Unstoppable, Alexa Bliss stunned the wrestling world by betraying Enzo Amore and Big Cass, costing them the opportunity to capture the NXT Tag Team Championship.
Wednesday night, Carmella attempted to pay Bliss back for her actions as well as the sneak attack she perpetrated on the Staten Island Princess at the same event.
Carmella was aggressive early and paid for it as Bliss dropped her face-first into the top turnbuckle. The heel controlled the contest for its majority, but Carmella fought back, delivering a series of kicks. Unfortunately, Carmella's hubris got the best of her, allowing Bliss to score the pinfall victory off of a roll-up.

Analysis
Carmella and Bliss are two young performers still learning and are expected to do so in front of one of the most vocal audiences in the industry.
They did an admirable job here, with Bliss continuing to showcase her abilities as a heel, but the match did not amount to much in the end. Instead, the segment was an excuse to put further heat on the Bliss, Murphy and Blake combination.
The Vaudevillains vs. Jason Jordan and Marcus Louis
4 of 5
When Jason Jordan dropped Tye Dillinger, he dropped the most consistent tag team partner he could have dreamed of. Now without any go-to teammate, he is left to audition members of the NXT roster, beginning with Marcus Louis.
It did not work out so well.
Despite controlling the body of the match, the duo's lack of teamwork led to its demise.
Louis tagged himself in, frustrating Jordan. From there, Aiden English mounted a comeback and tagged in Simon Gotch, and the Whirling Dervish finished off the Frenchman.

The Vaudevillains defeated Marcus Louis and Jason Jordan

Analysis
I would hate to label anything a "nothing match," mainly because everyone involved works hard to deliver the best product possible. But this was really uninspiring, especially if the purpose was to reintroduce the Vaudevillains after months away from television.
Louis and Jordan had little chemistry, so it is probably better that their tandem has seen its last performance.
Finn Balor vs. Rhyno
5 of 5Rhyno looked to rebound from a disappointing loss to Baron Corbin at Unstoppable by squaring off with Finn Balor in the night's main event.
The Man Beast grounded and pounded his smaller opponent, using his strength to overwhelm the Irishman.
The Man Beast even stopped to mock Balor's pose. But no matter how much he punished his opponent, Balor showed tremendous resilience, fighting from underneath.
Balor fired off with the Sling Blade but missed the Coup de Grace. Rhyno followed by missing his finisher, only to be rolled up and beaten in fluke fashion.
After the match, Rhyno delivered the Gore to Balor on the entrance ramp to close the show.

Finn Balor defeated Rhyno

Analysis
This was a strong main event between two grizzled veterans here.
Rhyno was excellent, and clearly motivated, as he hung with Balor step-for-step. The in-ring work was solid, and the roll-up finish was a nice change of pace from the typical finisher, even if roll-ups were the name of the game on the night.
More than anything, Rhyno's Gore after the match sets Balor up with a placeholder feud while Kevin Owens is busy with John Cena. Rhyno, like Owens, is a bruising competitor whose high-impact move set has carried him to numerous world title victories, and thus he makes the perfect opposition for Balor in the weeks to come.
