WWE NXT: Full Preview, Match Card and More for June 3

The Doctor Chris MuellerJun 3, 2015

Welcome to Bleacher Report's preview for this week's episode of WWE NXT, where we take a spoiler-free look at what's in store for the developmental brand's upcoming episode.

If you saw Elimination Chamber, then you witnessed current NXT champion Kevin Owens get the biggest win of his career against John Cena.

He is the first person to hold the NXT title and become embroiled in a feud with a top star on the main roster. Any fans who did not watch NXT prior to this week may be enticed to check it out after seeing what the current champ is capable of.

NXT was well-represented at Elimination Chamber, as nearly every match featured somebody who came up through the developmental system within the past three years. If there was ever a time to start watching the brand, it's now.

Let's take a look at what's to come in this week's show.

The Tag Teams

After several weeks of sitting on the sidelines, The Vaudevillains will finally return to take on the team of Marcus Louis and Jason Jordan.

Jordan has been seen jobbing here and there, but Louis has been all but forgotten ever since his partnership with Sylvester LeFort ended last September.

Simon Gotch and Aiden English have proved to be a unique and entertaining tag team, but for some reason NXT hasn't used them much over the past couple of months.

Scoring a win, even over a team as irrelevant as Louis and Jordan, will help them get back on track. The Vaudevillains are too good not be pursuing the NXT Tag Team Championship.

On the other hand, if Louis and Jordan were to pull off an upset, it could mean they will be teaming together for the foreseeable future.

The tag team division in NXT was getting kind of thin after The Ascension and Lucha Dragons moved to the main roster, so bringing back The Vaudevillains and adding a new team could spice things up a bit.

The Women

Alexa Bliss shocked a lot of people when she turned heel at TakeOver: Unstoppable and cost Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady the tag titles.

However, the person who may have been the most upset was Carmella. Bliss attacked her before pushing Amore off the top rope, immediately adding a new layer to this feud.

Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy are now aligned with Bliss, which means there are two separate storylines rolled into one.

Carmella and Bliss have never been featured as prominently as Charlotte or Bayley, so this feud will help them get more exposure and more opportunities to wrestle.

Both women have shown great potential in the ring, but they still have a long way to go before they are ready to hit the main roster. Regardless, this should be a fun match between two women who will almost certainly end up in the Divas division at some point.

The Men

Two singles matches are scheduled to take place this week. The first will see Tyler Breeze take on Adam Rose. Breeze and Rose teamed up a few weeks ago, and after the match was over, Breeze nailed Rose with a superkick.

This is a bit of an odd matchup because both men are heels. Putting two bad guys in the ring can sometimes lead to the crowd not knowing who to cheer for, but that never seems to be an issue in NXT.

The fans will often cheer for heels if they are performing on a higher level than the average wrestler, and we all know Breeze is capable of great things.

Chances are good that fans will cheer for Prince Pretty during this match, but you never know. Rose's gimmick was quite popular in NXT, so the crowd may welcome him back with open arms.

Either man could use the win at this point. Breeze just lost to Finn Balor two weeks ago, so he needs a victory to get back on the right track. This could be the start of a feud between these two, and if that's the case, we can expect one of them to make a full babyface turn soon.

The main event of the evening will feature Finn Balor taking on Rhyno. This is an interesting matchup for a couple of reasons.

Rhyno is just coming off a loss to Baron Corbin at Unstoppable, whereas Balor picked up a big win over Breeze to become the No. 1 contender to the NXT Championship.

The contrasting styles of these two Superstars should make for an interesting encounter. Rhyno is a powerhouse brawler, and Balor is a technician and high-flyer.

It's always fun to see two people who have never fought each other step into the ring together. Only one match on the card has a real storyline behind it, but all the bouts have the potential to be entertaining. What are you looking forward to on this week's episode of NXT?
