Bartolo Colon Hits RBI Double, Helps Mets to 4-3 Win over Marlins
The New York Mets stopped a two-game skid against the Miami Marlins on Sunday, largely due to Bartolo Colon, who donned his cape and saved the day with an RBI double.
The pitcher punched a David Phelps hurl over the shallow-playing Marlins outfield in the second inning, scoring Anthony Recker from second and giving the Mets a 2-1 lead.
Colon, chastened as ever, unselfishly stopped at second despite the makings of a possible Bartriple (a yet-to-occur phenomenon). Even better, his hit was the difference-maker in a game that ended in a 4-3 win for New York.

Count your blessings, everyone. This was a treat among treats.
Watching Colon step to the plate is a pleasure not to be taken for granted. Everything that happens after he arrives at the dish is just garnish on the plate, making a Bartolo RBI double the baseball equivalent of hitting the Powerball. And his helmet didn't fall off!
The New York Post even ran a cheesy back cover in honor of Colon's mighty and multitooled exhibition, per ESPN's Adam Rubin:
This was Bartolo's third hit of the season. If you no longer understand baseball, that's fine.
Dan is on Twitter. Bartolo is just a power hitter who took a while to find his swing.
