The Gunners easily beat Aston Villa 4-0 on Saturday, May 30, to win the FA Cup for the second consecutive year. Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Per Mertesacker all scored for Arsenal, who cruised to victory against an overmatched Villa squad.
Speaking to the club's official website, manager Arsene Wenger was very happy with his team's performance:
Fans likely felt the same way. After a rough start to the season, the Gunners enjoyed a great run in 2015 and finished the Premier League campaign in third place. Their run to the FA Cup final was smooth, and the squad underlined their quality with a dominant performance at Wembley Stadium.
Fans were so excited they wanted to have their victory parade right there and then. WGNTV's Elliott Bambrough was among them:
The players will likely party the night away in London―as will the fans―before meeting in Islington on Sunday. This fan shared a map of the route the victory parade will follow:
For those who can't attend the parade, the Arsenal Player will provide a full broadcast for digital members, including interviews, highlights of the FA Cup final and footage from the club's reception at Islington Assembly Hall.
