Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose: Best Outcomes at WWE Elimination Chamber 2015

Donald WoodMay 29, 2015

Arguably the most anticipated match on the 2015 Elimination Chamber card is the battle for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.

The two men have a long history, as they worked together on the independent scene and made their way through the ranks of WWE at around the same time. Add the legacy of The Shield and the fact that Rollins turned his back on Ambrose, and these men have legitimate storyline beef.

When Rollins and Ambrose go to war for the world title Sunday, here are the best possible outcomes for the main event of Elimination Chamber 2015.

Seth Rollins Wins Clean

The most likely outcome and the fundamental booking would indicate that the world champion Rollins will successfully retain the belt by pinning the No. 1 contender clean in the center of the ring.

WWE has booked Rollins poorly over the last several months. Ambrose has gotten the upper hand on Rollins during the build to this match, setting the stage for the champion to hit the Pedigree and win the bout.

The ultimate X-factor in the match and at the PPV is The Authority. Kane and J&J Security won't be too far behind Rollins, but this is a standard match, and they will likely avoid interference.

While a sneak attack late in the bout could help Rollins pull off the win, the champion deserves to win clean at the PPV.

Ambrose Wins via DQ, Rollins Retains Title

As I mentioned before, this is a standard singles match, and any interference from The Authority on Ambrose would result in a disqualification victory and Rollins successfully retaining the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Ambrose has been steadily rising as one of the top stars in the company, and with the injury to Daniel Bryan, the opportunity to build a legitimate top face is there for WWE. Giving Ambrose a win by DQ at the PPV gives him a rub without the title changing hands.

Fans would prefer a clean victory one way or another, but recent history proves the company loves convoluted finishes. With the desire to build legitimate stars, Ambrose could easily earn the victory via DQ.

Roman Reigns Costs Ambrose the Victory

One of the most intriguing possibilities is the involvement of Roman Reigns. Ambrose and Reigns have stood shoulder to shoulder over recent weeks, and Reigns accidentally costing Ambrose the victory would make for an interesting relationship.

Ambrose talked about the partnership between the two men on SmackDown. As Reigns is not being booked for a title, he will likely find himself at ringside to neutralize the threat of The Authority.

With Kane and J&J Security inevitably getting involved, Reigns attempting to hit a member of The Authority with the spear but accidentally hitting Ambrose to give Rollins the win would be a wild ending that could cause tension between the two top faces.
