The Main Event’s Special Enforcer
There is no doubt that when Rollins steps into the ring with Ambrose on Sunday night, Kane and J&J Security will be right behind him. So Ambrose is not left alone, don’t be surprised to see Reigns act as the unofficial special enforcer.
A long history of issues exists between Reigns and each member of The Authority, so Kane and Reigns doing battle outside the ring is a certainty. With Ambrose looking for backup, Reigns will almost certainly be at ringside at Elimination Chamber.
Eventually, Kane and the rest of The Authority can take Reigns out of the equation and help give Rollins the victory, but Reigns should be the reason this match gets the time in the ring to be the possible match of the night.
Impromptu Kane vs. Reigns Match
One aspect of WWE PPVs that is not exciting or entertaining is impromptu matches added on the fly. As much as it wouldn’t make a lick of sense, there is a distinct possibility Reigns and Kane get tossed into a match together.
The two men teased tension on Raw and on SmackDown, and if the company is looking for a bout that can fill some time Sunday night, these two men have worked together enough to put on a serviceable time-killing match.
While in the grand scheme of things the bout would mean nothing, it would be a way to get Reigns a quick victory and explain why Kane isn’t around in the main event if he is beaten down too much during the match.
Accidentally Costs Ambrose the Victory
If Reigns is at ringside during the battle between Rollins and Ambrose, there is little doubt he will play a role in the outcome of the match. The most intriguing possibility would be accidentally causing Ambrose the victory.
Reigns and Kane will likely come to blows at some point during the bout. If that doesn’t distract Ambrose enough to give Rollins the victory, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Reigns go for a spear or a Superman punch on Kane and accidentally hit Ambrose.
With the remainder of The Authority taking out Reigns and Rollins picking up the pieces to hit the Pedigree and earn the victory, the ending could lay the groundwork for animosity between the former friends.
