WWE Elimination Chamber 2015: Biggest Unanswered Questions Going into Event

Donald WoodMay 29, 2015

With the 2015 edition of WWE’s Elimination Chamber just a few days away, there are still many unanswered questions that wrestling fans are thinking about heading into the impromptu pay-per-view.

Between Dean Ambrose filling the role as one of the top faces with Daniel Bryan on the sidelines and Kevin Owens being trusted to work a match against arguably the biggest star in wrestling over the last decade, there is still a level of uncertainty around the PPV.

Here are the biggest unanswered questions heading into Elimination Chamber 2015.

Is Dean Ambrose the New Daniel Bryan?

Before yet another injury, Daniel Bryan was one of the top stars and biggest draws in WWE. With Bryan on the shelf for an unknown amount of time, the company should be positioning Ambrose as one of the top faces.

Bryan was one of the few wrestlers talented enough to get casual fans to like him while still keeping the hardcore members of the WWE Universe satisfied with his elite in-ring work.

Ambrose isn’t as good as Bryan technically, but he is better on the mic and entertaining in the ring.

After giving Ambrose a chance to be a top star during the build to Survivor Series last year with Bryan on the shelf, WWE officials should understand his worth. Add in that he has been great in his role against Rollins thus far, and this should be Ambrose’s coming-out party as a top face in the company.

How Much Does WWE Trust Kevin Owens?

Watching NXT champion Kevin Owens make his debut on Raw by beating John Cena on the mic and then pop-up power-bombing him was incredible. When he did it again on the go-home episode of Raw, it was clear Cena would get the win at Elimination Chamber.

While Cena will get the victory via clean pinfall or even disqualification, the real focus of this match will be how much trust the company shows in Owens.

He is a “rookie” on the main roster and will be going to battle against the top star in the company.

It will be very interesting to see how long and physical the match will be. Owens has an incredibly powerful style, and if Cena and the company allow him to do what makes him great, this could easily be the match of the night.

What Role Will Roman Reigns Play on Sunday?

There is no doubt that the people calling the shots in WWE love Roman Reigns. Despite the favor he has with the shot-callers, the Superstar is not booked for Elimination Chamber.

However, there is little doubt he’ll get involved.

Reigns has been in and around the title scene for months, and over the last two weeks, he has acted as a bodyguard for Ambrose. With The Authority likely getting involved in the main event between Rollins and Ambrose, Reigns will likely find his way ringside.

Whether he fights Kane in an impromptu match or stands at ringside as a way to keep J&J Security from getting involved in the match, there is little doubt that Reigns will play a role in the outcome of Elimination Chamber’s main event.
