Jabrill Peppers Comments on Displeasure with NCAA's Stipend Checks

Although the NCAA has taken steps in recent years to better provide its student-athletes with the food and nutrition they need, University of Michigan sophomore defensive back Jabrill Peppers remains dissatisfied.

The 19-year-old native of Montclair, New Jersey, posted several tweets Tuesday night and Wednesday morning complaining about how restricted he is due to the modest stipends the NCAA provides.

He then made mention of how limited his meal choices and stock are:

The up-and-coming defensive back then continued his rant by making it clear that he's more concerned about eating properly than getting paid:

Finally, he explained that moving off campus is what ultimately diminished his options, while former Wolverines star Desmond Howard stood behind him:

Peppers appeared in three games for Michigan last season, making one start before a leg injury ended his season. The defensive back is expected to be a vital part of the Wolverines defense under Jim Harbaugh.
