Andy Reid Speaks About Berry's Treatment

Tuesday, May 26

On the first day of Kansas City's organized team activities, head coach Andy Reid gave an update on Berry's treatment, per ESPN.com's Adam Teicher:

Also per Teicher, Reid said the next step for Berry will be discussing results of the treatment with his doctors:

In April, Evan Berry told Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star his brother's treatment was going well and he didn't "really see it affecting him."

The 26-year-old Berry had become one of the NFL's best, most feared safeties in five seasons with the Chiefs. He has made three Pro Bowls and was a first-team All-Pro in 2013 after recording 73 tackles, 10 passes defended and three interceptions with two returned for touchdowns.

Berry only appeared in six games last season before the Chiefs placed him on the non-football illness list in late November. He was the fifth overall pick by Kansas City in the 2010 draft and started 31 of a possible 32 games in 2012-13.
