Wanting to show that punters are athletes, the Seattle Seahawks' Jon Ryan took on the ultimate athletic test.

For those who haven't seen the show, contestants attempt to make it through a rigorous obstacle course with the hope of moving on to the next round. Between the difficulty of the stages and the endurance required, the obstacle course is no easy task.

The 33-year-old Ryan was on Monday's episode of American Ninja Warrior. The 6'0", 217-pound punter made it through two of the obstacles, but he was unable to beat the tilting table.
Even though Ryan didn't make it through the course, the Indianapolis Colts' Pat McAfee was proud of his fellow punter:

He may not have bested the course, but he at least gave it a try. That's something that he should be proud of.
