Karim Benzema Detained After Driving Rolls Royce Through Madrid Without Licence

Karim Benzema was detained by police after being caught driving through Madrid in a Rolls Royce without a licence, according to a report in Spanish daily Sport (h/t Football Espana).
Benzema's love of fast cars is well known, as he has been pictured with some remarkable sports vehicles in recent months.

But according to the report, this is the not the first time that Benzema has been stopped without possessing a licence, and he has supposedly not held one since 2013, when he picked up a €180,000 fine for travelling almost 95 kph above a 100 kph speed limit.
The story took a further twist on Wednesday afternoon, however, when Benzema went out on Instagram and posed with what appears to be his licence. The post makes no reference to whether he had been stopped:
He is expected to face trial at the Plaza Castilla court in the Spanish capital.
