Working with Chris Chambers

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald provided an update on Vick's status, courtesy of Chris Chambers. The former NFL wide receiver has been working with the quarterback in recent weeks and confirmed there's been interest.
"There was a lot of political stuff with him and Geno Smith with the Jets last year. Last two weeks, he has done phenomenal," Chambers said. "There are several teams that want him. He wanted to be on a winning team. He wants to play three years. Eventually, he wants to start again."

Vick was a dynamic weapon at the league's most important position during his prime. His athletic ability has fallen off over time, though. That's made it difficult for him to hold down a starting gig for any extended period of time.
The 34-year-old signal-caller struggled in 10 appearances (three starts) for the New York Jets last season. He posted a passer rating below 70 with just three touchdowns and two interceptions. He also didn't score any rushing TDs for the first time in his career.
Whether he will get another opportunity in the NFL is a mystery. Finding a team where he'll have a legitimate chance to start at this stage of the offseason won't be easy.
