Preakness Infield 2015: Performers List, Activities Schedule and Events Lineup
The 140th installment of the Preakness Stakes is nearly upon us. In contrast to the fancy, upscale culture at the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness' InfieldFest is among, if not the rowdiest parties horse racing has to offer.
The Budweiser InfieldFest is a tailgater's dream come true. Between a variety of live music performances, unlimited beer service and the ability to bet on the race, it is truly second to none.
Those who prefer the party side of things should partake in InfieldFest. Here is all the information you will need about what performers will be in attendance, what activities will be offered and what time it is all taking place:

As you await the second leg of the Triple Crown, the Preakness' InfieldFest provides horse racing's younger audience with the same atmosphere that NFL and college football fans have prior to kickoff—hangouts and beer—with the addition of live musical performances.
This year's race-day concert series features country artists Easton Corbin and A Thousand Horses, rock band Trampled by Turtles, Grammy-nominated rap artist Childish Gambino and headliner Armin van Buuren.
Music has traditionally been a part of the Preakness Stakes, and InfieldFest continues the custom today with its selection of artists, writes Vince Mathews of America's Best Racing:
"In more recent years, with the introduction of the annual InfieldFest at Pimlico, the Preakness Stakes has been developing a musical tradition as well. While the majority of the Preakness Stakes musical history has been established recently, upon further research, one can find music woven into the fabric of the Preakness for over 100 years.
"
The blend of country, rock, rap and electronic music in this edition of InfieldFest is perhaps as diverse as any field to date.
Headliner Armin van Buuren boasts one of the most watched YouTube music videos of all time, totaling more than 100 million views. Digital World (via Preakness.com) called Van Buuren's live performances "an amazing and unforgettable EDM experience."
Likewise, Childish Gambino's album "Because the Internet" and performance "3005" were Grammy nominated. He's previously performed at other major musical events such as Coachella, Hangout Fest and The iHeartRadio Festival.
Over at the Jagermeister Stage will be the pair of country artists, Easton Corbin and A Thousand Horses, in addition to rockers Trampled By Turtles.
Corbin has had a handful of No. 1 hit singles in his genre and was The Academy of Country Music's Top New Solo Vocalist back in 2011. A Thousand Horses has made a splash onto the scene with their hit single "Smoke," which rose as high as No. 19 on the country charts.
Trampled By Turtles is a combination of punk, bluegrass and alt-country, and have already appeared at the likes of Bumbershoot, Coachella and Telluride.
Other Events and Activities
Aside from the music, there are a number of other ways to keep InfieldFest goers occupied.
The annual bikini contest will return this year and will be held on the Jagermeister Second Stage.
Those clamoring for a tour of Pimlico Race Course can partake in the track's museum. Tour guides are on hand to take viewers through the course's history.
