Daily Fantasy Hockey 2015: NHL DraftKings Strategy for Date May 10
When the New York Rangers tied up Game 5 late in regulation and won it in overtime Friday night, a relieved New York Rangers fanbase erupted at Madison Square Garden.
Their team had been rescued from elimination and would live to fight another day. That day is Sunday, when the Rangers must figure out Washington goalie Braden Holtby one more time if they want to extend their Eastern Conference series to a seventh game.
Meanwhile, the Ducks return to Anaheim with a chance to eliminate the Calgary Flames. Calgary has won admiration for its never-say-die attitude and exceptional comeback ability, but the Flames are up against a powerful opponent in the Ducks.

| U | Evgeny Kuznetsov | N.Y. Rangers | 2.0 | $5,200 |
Centers: Ryan Getzlaf, Anaheim Ducks ($7,000) and Derek Stepan, New York Rangers ($5,900)
Ryan Getzlaf has been too sharp, too smart, too hungry and too good for the Calgary Flames. Getzlaf has scored two goals and 10 assists in the playoffs, after scoring 25 goals and providing 45 assists during the regular season. More than the numbers, Getzlaf is a hungry player who will do whatever it takes to help the Ducks advance. He is an effective offensive player, but he may be even better on the defensive end.

Derek Stepan has to be a key factor for the Rangers if they are going to win on the road and get to a seventh game. Stepan had a pair of assists in Game 5 and he has scored two goals and four assists in his last 10 games. The Rangers' center is a hard worker who is effective in all three zones, and he can turn defense into offense quickly. He should be at his best with the Rangers' season on the line.
Wingers: Matt Beleskey, Anaheim Ducks ($4,900), Chris Kreider, New York Rangers ($4,900) and Jiri Hudler, Calgary Flames ($5,800)

Matt Beleskey is not a superstar and never will be, but he is the kind of player who often plays a key role for teams that win the Stanley Cup. Beleskey is a tough, hard hitting and physical player who is going to the front of the net and will run over his opponents to get there. He has scored in every game in this series, and he should do it again in Game 5 as the powerful Ducks have a chance to put away the Flames.
Chris Kreider is one of the most physically-gifted players on the Rangers. He is perhaps their fastest skater and he knows how to rise to the occasion at the most important moments. Kreider scored the game-tying goal late in the fifth game that allowed the Rangers to keep their season alive.
He has scored 24 goals and 25 assists this season, and he may have the best chance of all the New York forwards of breaking free from Washington's suffocating defense.

The Flames would not appear to have much of a chance of coming back in this series after blowing a 2-1 lead late in the second period at home Friday night. Surviving the fifth game in Anaheim will be a tall order, but look for Jiri Hudler to leave it all on the ice. Hudler has scored three goals and three assists in his last 10 games, and he had a brilliant regular season with 34 goals and 48 assists. Look for him to score at least one goal against Anaheim.
Defensemen: Matt Niskanen, Washington Capitals ($4,100) and Dan Boyle, New York Rangers ($4,000)

The Capitals have the Rangers on the brink of elimination largely because of the play of their defense. Matt Niskanen has been tough, active and physical. He has skated well and had the assist on the third-period goal that nearly clinched the series for the Caps. Niskanen has had four goals and 31 assists this season, and he's been a dangerous player for the Caps in this series.
Dan Boyle is a clutch player who has proved his worth in many postseason games throughout his career. Boyle is no longer a game-changing player, but if the Caps make a mistake and figure that he can't hurt them, he just may be able to step up and deliver a goal or an assist. Boyle is smart and tough, and he can fake his shot to draw the Washington forwards out of position and then put a legitimate scoring attempt on net.
Goalie: Frederik Andersen, Anaheim ($8,400)

The name of the game in the playoffs is winning, and Andersen has led his team to a 7-1 performance in the postseason. Andersen may not have a huge reputation, but he is 8-2-0 in his last 10 games with a 2.07 goals-against average with a .924 save percentage. Andersen will find a way to help his team win the game and end this conference semifinal series Sunday night.
