NHL Playoffs 2015: Schedule Guide for Sunday's Stanley Cup Round 2 Games
Two matchups on tap for Sunday in the 2015 NHL playoffs will decide whether the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning will be the only teams to enter the week still playing Round 2 hockey.
The Anaheim Ducks can put the Calgary Flames away in Game 5 in their home arena after bouncing back from an overtime loss in Calgary to take a commanding 3-1 lead. That one figures to go into early Monday morning with a late 10 p.m. ET start.
That Game 5 will be preceded by Game 6 between the New York Rangers and Washington Capitals. The Rangers are still on the brink of elimination after their overtime Game 5 victory on Friday.

Game 6: New York Rangers at Washington Capitals

The New York Rangers went from from Presidents' Trophy winners to two minutes away from elimination in just a few short weeks. With the clock ticking on their season, they did just enough to stay alive—at least for now.
That will be tested in full force by the Washington Capitals in Game 6, with the Capitals leading the series 3-2. If the Rangers aspire to keep their comeback rolling into a winner-take-all Game 7, they will need to win in the nation's capital for the first time this series.
To say things haven't gone the Rangers' way in this series would be a striking understatement. Every one of their games this postseason has been decided by one goal. They won four of the five versus the Pittsburgh Penguins in Round 1 but have dropped three of their five matchups with the Caps.
Regardless, there was nothing to frown about after Chris Kreider's late equalizer and Ryan McDonagh's winning overtime goal, as the Rangers' Twitter account noted:
The Rangers can fight tooth and nail again in Game 6, but they will undoubtedly need the sudden goal-scoring prowess from late in that game to continue.
Before the third period on Friday, in the last nine periods of this series, New York had scored just two goals. Of course, the Rangers matched that total in just a few minutes in order to stay alive. But those opportunities aren't always going to present themselves in the last minute.
With that said, the Rangers have made a habit of resilient comebacks. As ESPN Stats and Info reported, New York is virtually unbeatable at home when facing elimination:
However, the Rangers won't be at home in Game 6. To make matters worse, the Capitals are a perfect 4-0 coming off a loss in this postseason.
On one hand, there's a team that dominated the NHL during the season and has made a reputation of being a headache to eliminate. On the other, there's a team that has been composed throughout adversity all season long.
Something will have to give, and it will decide whether Madison Square Garden hosts a Game 7—or any more games this postseason.
