
Bob Uecker and Joe Block Were Trapped in Broadcast Booth During Brewers Game
The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-3 Wednesday night.
The victory marked a quality win for a team that’s struggled out of the gate this season, and it’s a shame that baseball icon and national treasure Bob had to call the contest while trapped inside a smallish, bathroom-less room.
According to Cut 4’s Adam , , Joe Block and Jeff Levering—along with several other media personnel—were stuck inside the broadcast booth at Miller Park for several innings after the knob on the lone door to the room broke off.

and company did their best to stay cool as maintenance tried to find a solution. Things came to the point where workers at Miller Park had to set up a ladder and climb into the booth to work on the door.
Naturally, wielded his trademark levity to explain the situation to radio listeners.
“People who are listening to the ballgame,” said. “I know what you’re thinking. ‘He’s ready for the home. He’s cooked. It’s finally happened. He’s seeing ladders and doors without handles.’”
Block added his own remarks as the broadcast cut to commercial at the end of the seventh inning.
“We’re not going anywhere,” Block said. “You do the same."

At long last, workers managed to set them free, removing the door entirely. stuck around to make sure the door was properly re-installed.
No word yet on how much damn lacquer was put on the thing, but it seemed like an accident waiting to happen.
