Vikings' Mike Wallace Calls Himself NFL's Fastest Player, Claims He Ran 4.21 40
Say what you want about Mike Wallace, but the 28-year-old Minnesota Vikings wide receiver certainly doesn't lack confidence.
Wallace believes that he's still the fastest player in the NFL, claiming that his personal best in the 40-yard dash is 4.21 seconds, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press. If that is true, then Wallace's time would be faster than Chris Johnson's 4.24 seconds, which is the fastest time ever recorded at the NFL combine.
"Without a doubt, I'm the fastest player in the NFL," Wallace told the Pioneer Press. "If somebody feels foggy about that, we can (race). I’m never going to back down from competition."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Despite having six seasons of NFL wear and tear under his belt, Wallace still feels like he could get near that time.
"I've run a lot of routes and I've got a lot of miles on my legs, but I still feel that there's nobody who can run with me," Wallace said. "I might have slowed down a little but I could still run 4.25."
Wallace definitely has some elite top-end speed, and regardless of whether he actually ran the 40-yard dash in 4.21 seconds, I can guarantee that he would beat me in a foot race.
