The Next Summer Move For The Dallas Mavericks
Recently I have been reading a lot of rumors about Stephen Jackson coming to Dallas, and also I have heard that Don wants to get rid of Monte Ellis. Well I tried this trade on ESPN trade machine and it worked, and I also think that its a win win situation. So here it is:
Mavs get:
Monte Ellis, Stephen Jackson
Warriors get:
Jason Terry, Erick Dampier
The Mavs obviously get the better players, however the Warriors get an expiring contract, and also a guy that can run and hit threes and doesn't play defense, and that's perfect for Nelson's system. For the Mavs they get a replacement for Jason Terry except a guy that is more consistent and also brings some mental toughness and also some attitude to a team that is considered soft. Also the second part of the deal, bringing a young PG that can be the future franchise player of any team. And I think that people will stop arguing about the Kidd-Harris trade. I personally think that Ellis is better than Harris when healthy.
As for the Warriors side of this trade, they get an expiring contract that can help them in the next free agency season. The second part of the deal is Jason Terry, one of my favorite Mavericks of all time. Anyways the Warriors get a guy that can heat it up, and run and hit threes all game long. Plus he is not a good defender either and that is just what Nelson likes.
Overall I think that this trade should and will happen sometime this month.
