Liverpool Transfer News: Alexandre Lacazette Boost, Rumours on Oscar and More
Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette has suggested he will consider a move away from the Stade Gerland at the end of the season, giving Liverpool "the green light to make their move" for his services, according to The Telegraph.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will also "consider offers" for midfielder Oscar, according to Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail, who believes the Blues will spend avidly in the summer. Both players should be regarded as world-class targets for Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, who will be buoyed by his side's continued hunt for Champions League football.
Lacazette notched his 27th Ligue 1 goal of the season during Lyon's win over Evian on Saturday, per WhoScored.com. The 23-year-old offers exactly what Liverpool need—pace, quality on the ball and a clinical instinct in front of goal—and admits he could depart during the summer.

Although Lyon have confirmed they will reject offers for the division's top scorer, Lacazette's comments to French television suggest he isn't 100 percent sure about his future, per The Telegraph: "I am good here, but after that I need to think about my progression, the future. We will see at the end of the season."
B/R UK's Sam Tighe recently suggested Lacazette should be one of Liverpool's "dream" targets this summer:
The Reds can expect a major battle for the striker's signature if he does become available. French publication L'Equipe (h/t talkSPORT) recently reported Paris Saint-Germain will join Liverpool and Arsenal in the running to secure Lacazette's future.
Mokbel's suggestion that Chelsea will entertain offers for Oscar could also interest Rodgers. The Brazilian midfielder's initial flashiness has subsided this season, but a hardworking, well-rounded player remains.
He has scored six and assisted eight in 28 Premier League matches this campaign, per WhoScored, and he could slot into the playmaker role Rodgers loves to deploy behind his central striker. Imagining Oscar alongside Philippe Coutinho in front of Jordan Henderson and a specialist defensive midfielder (in 3-4-2-1) is exciting indeed.

Mourinho and Chelsea don't have the greatest relationship with Liverpool, though, and the Blues boss recently admitted he doesn't want to see Oscar leave, as reported by Harry Sherlock of Goal.com.
"Of course [Oscar isn't leaving Chelsea]," Mourinho said. "He just signed a contract a few months ago. He's one of the players with the best contract, long-term contract. A boy at 23 that Chelsea bought three years ago. Obviously we don't want to sell."

Rodgers is expected to strengthen his squad across the board this summer and may even focus on providing goalkeeper Simon Mignolet with competition. As reported by Paul Joyce of the Express, Fiorentina's Norberto Neto continues to "interest" the Northern Irish manager after the Viola No. 1 allegedly suffered "second thoughts" over a free transfer to Juventus.
The next three matches will define what kind of summer Liverpool can expect. They are four points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, who haven't scored or gained a point in three matches. United could have wrapped up Champions League football by now, but the Merseysiders still have a real chance of securing a place in Europe's elite competition.
Although Liverpool's recent loss to Hull City could prove vital, grabbing that final Champions League spot will make acquiring players like Lacazette and Oscar a genuine possibility.
