NFL Rumors: Latest Reports and Speculation Following 2015 Draft
The 2015 NFL draft reached its conclusion Saturday. Every team should emerge from the war room happy about the upgrades it was able to make. Only time will tell which ones were successful. For now, it's time to move forward with the offseason.
Given the fact a majority of free agency is in the books and the draft is now complete, the outlook for next season is starting to become more clear. Rosters are taking shape as training camp begins to appear on the distant horizon.
Before attention shifts completely in that direction, however, let's check out some of the most notable rumors coming out of draft weekend.

La'el Collins Situation
Collins had a chance to come off the board inside the first 10 picks. However, Ross Dellenger and Ben Wallace of The Advocate reported he was set to meet with police about the death of a pregnant woman, and despite not being considered a suspect, the uncertainty caused his stock to plummet.
In the end, he didn't get drafted at all. Now, the question is what will happen next. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports the offensive lineman is going to meet with police Monday in an attempt to clear his name and then look for an NFL team:
"Collins intends to meet with police on Monday for questioning in connection with a murder case that now involves two deaths—a 29-year-old woman and her infant child. Collins is not a suspect in the case, but because he has not been cleared, no one could touch him in the draft.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Collins plans to sign with a team after he is cleared.
"
It was unclear heading into the final day whether a team would take a flier on him. He was a Round 1 prospect on the board in Round 7 after all. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports notes it actually works out better for him that he wasn't:
"The initial financial damage—however unavoidable—is very real, but on virtually any level, he is in a markedly better position today having not been drafted in rounds 4-7, which clearly was not lost on his agents, and in hindsight I'm even more surprised some club didn't take a flier on him in the last round even with his legal status not totally resolved.
"
Collins is a talented player capable of making an immediate impact. Signing him in addition to getting to use high picks on other prospects will be a major coup for a team, assuming he gets cleared. It's obviously a situation to watch closely over the next few days.
Support for Randy Gregory
Gregory was another previously coveted prospect who slid down the draft board. The Nebraska product failed a drug test at the NFL Scouting Combine. Clearly doing so given the circumstances showed a significant lapse in judgment.
The Dallas Cowboys ended up grabbing him in Round 2 with the No. 60 pick. Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News reports the franchise plans to use tactics previously implemented with Dez Bryant in an attempt to help the outside linebacker:
"The structure the Cowboys use to help Gregory, a source said, will be similar to how they assisted receiver Dez Bryant after he was arrested in the summer of 2012 and charged with assaulting his mother.
The Cowboys had a rotating three-man security team—led by private investigator David Wells—that called for at least one man to always shadow Bryant. But Gregory is described as a player who doesn't like to party as much as Bryant and won’t need as much security, a source said.
"
Helping Gregory make the transition to the NFL world is crucial. If he can acclimate himself to his new surroundings and leave the off-field issues in the past, he can become a high-impact player. In that case, he becomes a huge steal for Dallas.
It's no guarantee things will work out. That's why the Cowboys were able to select him as late as they did. But putting a support system around him from the outset should help the cause and increase the chances of him becoming a valuable member of the roster and the community.
Michael Floyd Trade?

Floyd has led the Arizona Cardinals in receiving each of the past two seasons. Yet his numbers still dropped off last year, catching 18 fewer passes for 200 fewer yards. Part of that was poor quarterback play and part was the emergence of John Brown.
Now it sounds like his time with the franchise might be nearing a conclusion. Kent Somers of AZCentral Sports states the Cardinals are willing to take offers for the wideout but are still waiting for the phone to ring:
"#azcardinals will listen if a team calls w/interest in trading for WR Michael Floyd. No one has.
— Kent Somers (@kentsomers) May 1, 2015"
Floyd is just 25, making it an interesting time to put him on the block. Arizona does have Larry Fitzgerald, Jaron Brown and the aforementioned John Brown to go along with some depth pieces at the position, though. It may just be checking to see what type of return he could yield.
The Notre Dame product would be a nice secondary weapon for a team with a true No. 1 receiver. Floyd is a steady possession receiver who's increased his yards per catch each season. Perhaps the Cardinals will get more hits as training camp draws closer.
